Bermuda 2021

March 20-27, 2021

30th Anniversary Trip

Bermuda

We are still in disbelief that we were able to pull off a trip to Bermuda during all this craziness...  We had this trip planned last year in March (2020) and had to cancel due to Covid restrictions.  Still a few hoops to jump through.. but we did made it there and back safe and sound.

We had to get a pre travel covid test (worst part of whole trip)..  then one on arrival, then on 4th day which also worked for our return trip. The testing in Bermuda is so much more comfortable than the one we had before we left in the states. You have to do a lot of research and read everything carefully for entry/departure..( restrictions change daily so do your research)  with all that said...  everything was so efficient in Bermuda and I was very impressed how smooth everything went.

Upon arrival we waited only 1.5 hours total for entry and testing.  We had to quarantine until we received our results.  We arrived via Miami at 10:30 pm.  We had our results by 1:00PM the next afternoon.  We stayed at a private rental with a dock so we were able to sit outside and relax the first day there.  (we brought food and snacks to hold us until we could shop)

We stayed at Smiths Cottage in the Flatts and loved it.  Our host was so sweet and was very helpful.

We rode buses the whole time or walked (except for airport transfers via taxi)..  They had a limited number of people per bus..  this wasn't a problem.  There were a few shops that didn't welcome recent travelers but that was okay..

Our day 4 testing was in Hamilton at the old Post Office.  Very efficient and only a 30 minute wait for testing.  After testing we took the ferry to the Naval Dockyard.   Great views of Bermuda from the island.

Bermuda has to be the friendliest place I have ever been.  Great memories!!
