Pisa/Florence

Next stop on our trip was Pisa.  We stayed here 2 nights, Made a day trip to Florence while we were this close.    Florence wasn't really on out itinerary but we loved it.

Cinque Terre Five Villages Hike

While staying in Santa Margherita we hiked/trained the Cinque Terre Five Villages. 

 Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso.

It was beautiful to say the least..

Portofino

Italian Riviera, little Portofino, was AMAZING.. I could not wait to be here ... to take the photos myself that I had seen forever...it was BEAUTIFUL!  We bused here from Santa Margherita where we were staying.  It was about a 15 minute bus ride.  A great way to spend the afternoon

Santa Margherita Ligure

Out next stop was Santa Margherita Ligure.  We left Nice early in the morning to catch the train.  We arrived around lunch time.  We stayed at Hotel La Vela.  It was great hotel and a short walk into town. 

While staying here we visited  Villa Durazzo (Rod Stewart was married here, the last time.. lol)

We made this a central location.  While here we went to Portofino and hiked the 5 cities..  coming in my next post..
