We went to Aruba in February for seven nights to celebrate our 24th anniversary. Just in time to escape the Texas winter (yes, it was worse this year)
We had a good flight and was through security at the airport in Aruba in record time. The car rental (Budget) seemed a little confused but we finally were in the car after about 30 minutes.
We stayed
at Sunset Beach Studios, here is my review on tripadvisor. http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g1453675-d646893-r266271413-Sunset_Beach_Studios-Malmok_Beach_Aruba.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT
We drove most of the island the first full day there.
I think this is right before we got stuck in a sand dune.. Thank God two locals were near to push us out :) |
Shopping downtown
We did a lot of snorkeling on this trip. Great spot close to the hotel Boca Catalina Beach
Did a little hiking
We went to Renaissance Island and had a wonderful day of relaxing and snorkeling. You just go to the front desk of Renaissance Aruba to get a day pass. $100.00 per person.. It includes lunch and a drink and transportation back and forth. If you are staying at the hotel it's free
